I downloaded the demo and it took me a while to get used to the controls. It's the first RTS I've played on a console, so maybe that's why. Anyway, I'm still not familiar with grouping soldiers, the tabs, etc. but I've got the basics down, and I love it. Once I got into the two levels they offered on the demo, I couldn't stop playing.

The graphics, in my opinion, are fairly weak for what the 360 is capable of, but the framerate is good even with 30+ units on the screen and engaged in battle.

On the second level the demo offers, I wish there was more tiberium to build a bigger base. I found the second pile to the north, but the rest was taken by the NOD and my whole base was destroyed easily. Luckily, I stashed two mammoth tanks and took out the targets with them to beat the level. Mammoth tanks are unstoppable and awesome.

The Mammoth Tanks seemed a bit over powered. I took a couple of Mammoths and basically destroyed everything on Level 2 with them. I didn't need to use anything else once I got the Mammoths.

That is pretty much how it has always been with C&C.

Oh man, I just played an online match through the demo...and got my a** royally kicked by some 11-year-old. The dude annihilated me with like 12 mammoth tanks and 10 juggernauts. I had 2 tanks, and some infantry men lol.

That happened to me in my first online match. I was playing some guy who sounded like he was in his 20s but sounded like he was playing just for the heck of it, so I thought I would kill him easily with my experience in C&C. So he attacked me a couple times with infantry and I was all right. So I'm building my base and whatnot and all of a sudden he waltzes in with like the same thing, 12 mammoth tanks and 10 juggernauts. I was done!

I find that I spend too much time building my base though. I build it up, put up some watchtowers, etc incase I get attacked. Then I spend like 20 minutes building my base. Then I get attacked and I lose everything and start over again. I need to get in attack mode!

Yeah, I much prefer to play skirmish against the computer and spend like two hours building my base up, and building an unstoppable army instead of rushing to see who can make the most mammoth tanks first.

And dammit now that this is coming out, they need to make a StarCraft 2. I always liked StarCraft/WarCraft more than C&C.

I like to build my base first as well. Get a good group of infantry and what not, before I make a move. I didn't realize yo ucan play online on the demo, if anyone wants to play let me know.

you can't choose who you play against in the demo. it's only quick match and it's only available on one level. Still, it was nice to see that there's no lag in online.

Yea, 4 is what I read. I hope there's other structures not in the demo that we can build to help prevent mammoth tank rapings.

Not that I've seen... You could ask PC users I guess, since that game's been out for a while.

Question for you Primetime23. Is this game a strategy type game or more like D&D?
