The "Which 360 Warranty is Better" Thread

I'm a proud new 360 owner. Purchased my 360 on Friday along with GoW and Oblivion from Target. I noticed that Target offers a 3 year extended service plan for electronic product from $201 to $500 that only costs $29.99. They claim that "if they can't fix it, they'll replace it".

Warranty can be viewed here. http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html...sin=B000HG72OO

My question is does this protect me from failure of the hardward like the MS warranty does?

Sounds like the CC extended warranty, meaning you call a number they'll ask you to ship it. If they determine it's broke (trust me they don't have any techs to fix things). They'll either ship you a new system or to save them shipping costs they'll mail you a voucher for the full amount of the system minus the warranty you purchased.

You'll probably have to take the voucher to your Target and buy another system plus you'll need to buy another warranty.

How does the EB one year warranty work ? If I have a problem do they just give me a new console or do they try and fix it first ? Thanks.

They just give you a new one, no questions asked, you then buy a new warranty. When my 360 died, I had a new one up and running and on Xbox Live within 45 minutes. It was smooth.
