Has anyone been able to solve the update freezing problem (360)

My 360 has never frozen on me, until I Dl this update. Now it frequently locks up on me whether Im playing a demo or a game.

I had fun playing R6 with SUlly and the guys yesterday with no issues, but for the most part, Whether I play something like COD, or GOW, or MUA... I've had more occassions than I've ever had of this happening. Any suggestions?

I was in the exact same position as you. After the update, suddenly everything I did froze, repeatedly. I was playing NCAA religiously, and it always froze after a team had one full possession in the first quarter. But then it started to freeze earlier and earlier, to where the game wouldn't even load. I tried Madden, and it would make it to the coin flip screen, and then freezing. It just kept going backwards. Finally, I started to get the dreaded 3 red lights. I called MS support, and as I started to tell the guy the steps I did, he basically finished my sentences for me, knowing exactly what was happening before I could actually tell him!

I think MS screwed up, somehow, with the latest update, but they won't admit it. There is just too much of a coincidence with all the people out there that suddenly have issues only after downloading this update. There was one story out there, I think earlier in the week at gamespot.com, that talked about the latest 360 update "bricking" certain 360's. One rumor was that they stuck something in the update to try and fry any 360's that were modded, but they might have cast far too wide of a net, because I sure as heck wouldn't mod my 360!

I don't know though, I sent mine back to them and they received it on Tuesday last week, so hopefully they send my replacement back soon. I had heard that they were shipping back some people brand new 360's, and some have reported they received refurbished consoles, so we'll see. I bought mine in February by the way, so it was an "early" model that I believe was manufactured in late December or early January.
