Wii Support????
I will get a Wii. But I don't see too much support from different game developers. Will there be 2ksports? Any sort of baseball MLB?? I went to the nintendo site and it seems that only a handful of developers for this year. This has got me worried. Can anyone shed some light.Tags: None -
Re: Wii Support????
It feels like they have more games out right now for the Wii than the cube did in it's first year... Nintendo could have done better if they had let more quantity on the system instead of the "quality" mantra.
EA likes what they see. Ubisoft likes what they see.
Im sure that Nintendo or Take Two will have an MLB style game on the Wii. This system is prime for baseball and golf.BeyondMediaOnline.com -

It won't be deserted of devs like the Gamecube was. It'll probably see most of the PS3/X360 games, although, for obvious reasons, not all.Comment

Activision and SEGA like what they see as well. I would also add boxing and FPS to that second list. I can't wait for the first boxing title to come out on the Wii.

Re: Wii Support????
You know I sort of think what Tim's getting at. Right now the Wii is insane but after the 360 and PS3 both kick into overdrive will gamers still feel the same way about the console a year from now, that's the question?
I like the idea of the console but in the back of my mind I can't help but think Gamecube because other than the controller that's pretty much it and I purposely left out the online portion.Comment

I could care less about graphics but also Like a good array of games. I want this console as it's new and fresh. No it doesn't have graphics but it's actually innovative. My whole thing is will the developers take the Wii in with open arms. I hope that this doesn't turn into the dreamcast. That was a killer system that got no support.Comment

Re: Wii Support????
2K Sports have confirmed their arcade Biggs (or whatever) baseball game for the Wii.
I don't see them doing NBA though. Unless they used the current gen engine and added some special control mechanics.
EA are doing Tiger Woods and have been testing NBA Live with the Wiimote apparantly.Comment

Re: Wii Support????
Wiii Sports is one of the funner set of games i've played in quite some time. the graphics are cartoony and not anything close to the 360/PS3, but you know what, I'm having more fun swing the golf club and virtually bowling than was using the Controller for Tiger Woods. Once you start enteracting with these games graphics kind of fade into the background of your thoughts. You're now more so worried about getting a good swing... the only person you can blame for botching a shot in Wii Golf is yourself, not the controller.
As long as EA, Sega, and Activison keep making games for the Wii, it'll have a nice 3-4 year life cycle. There is going to be all sorts of DIFFERENT games that get released for the Wii that are quriky, and GAMEPLAY heavy. Will the average gamer be intersted? Probably not, BUT if they played the system they'd think twice about it.
And those that thing the Honeymoon with the Wii will end...
Ask us Wii owners how much time we've put into our 360's and PS3's since the Wii came home... how about this, I'll just ask the board Via Poll.BeyondMediaOnline.comComment

The variety and uniqueness is why I'll be picking up a Wii in the next couple of weeks. I really can't see a honeymoon phase with this system, especially when developers haven't even begun to fully explore what the controls are capable of.Comment
