Re: PS3 HD Problem looks unfixable.
YEA RIGHT, I'm gonna get my PS3 updates from Microsoft. Thats completely biased crap right there. Here is the link http://biz.gamedaily.com/industry/feature/?id=14554Last edited by thmst30; 11-29-2006, 01:20 AM. -
Re: PS3 HD Problem looks unfixable.
I agree but this is a problem Sony needs to fix because unless you're willing to spend several thousand dollars for a TV that's capable of 1080p then your stuck in 720p.
It also doesn't make the PS3 look good or netter than the 360.Comment

How is the truth biased? Sony didn't just drop the ball this generation, they dropped a lot of them and continue to alienate new customers and piss off existing ones.Comment

Re: PS3 HD Problem looks unfixable.
Try 480p, for all those people who have set's that DON'T accept a 720p signal. Mainly CRT TV's

They dropped many balls, but there will be many adopters of the system no matter how we look at it.Comment

Re: PS3 HD Problem looks unfixable.
I shouldn't have to play the games in 480p. Plus they look horrible at that resolution. Plus tv's up until recently were 1080i/480p only. So if I bought a tv last year I'm not going to buy a new tv because Sony messed up. This also goes for Sony tvs. They weren't doing 720p/1080p tvs until recently.Comment

Recently? Might want to define that. My Samsung is going on 5 years old and it does all 3 resolutions. It's a CRT tube.I shouldn't have to play the games in 480p. Re: PS3 HD Problem looks unfixable.
Congrats and how much did you spend on that? The fact is until recently, even Sony was selling TV's that didn't do 720p/1080p. Hundreds of thousands of TV's are effected by this and it's a huge mistake from Sony. They better have a solution to this other than buy a new TV.Comment

Re: PS3 HD Problem looks unfixable.
Extreme, within the last three years you could have bought one that only supports 1080i, only to have it not work with your PS3 that you saved for..
When your looking at TVs that can cost up to $3,000+, 3 years is a pretty "recent" purchase..
Doesn't matter much to me, not touching a PS3 unless I see one for ebay.Comment

Re: PS3 HD Problem looks unfixable.
I spent $999.99 on it. It might be 4 years old, but it's pre-slim fits. Has a built in HD tuner, etc. I had it back when I lived in an apartment, and I've owned my house for 3 years.Congrats and how much did you spend on that?
