Re: People are noticing That EA Games Are not Good
The best thing that can happen to EA is that get broken up into smaller companies so they can focus on quality and innovation first. IMO EA is hurting the industry buying other smaller more agile developers and making them put out rehash after rehashed games. -

It's funny how ea used to be the small "out there" company that was what gaming was all about and now it has transformed into nothing more than the walmart of gaming.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

I agree with this, as EA isn't bringing anything new to the table except for stale games. Just this past year alone there's been many duds. Both NBA Live and Need For Speed series of games really need some kind of new direction, especially NFS. With Carbon, it was a good game, but they tried to do way too much.Comment

Thank you, that's the best description of EA I have ever heard on the internet. It describes EA perfectly.Comment

Re: People are noticing That EA Games Are not Good
EA is only providing what sells. When the public actually stops buying their rehashed **** made on like a 5 month development cycle, they have the money and resources to make some of the best games.
They've already started to get away from licensed trash, and if they can start new franchises up it'll help them out.Comment

An EA representative responded to Mitchell's report with the following statement: "The EA brand is strong with great games from franchises that continue to break sales records. Across the portfolio, EA always strives to drive innovation and quality into its titles. EA continues to invest in next-generation development and technology which will translate into high quality gaming throughout the next console cycle <<<<< Yeah right.. The ea guy says they are putting innovation and quality in their titles. In other words he is saying " Yes all the suckers from around the world are fattening my pockets while we continue to claim innovation and add gimmicks to the Ea franchise. People Continue to buy CHEAT CODES and extras so a normal 60 dollar game turns into 95 dollars, People continue to buy our games cause they are the only ones out there....Yes indeed we are strong. They only way for our company to change is for consumers stopping from buying our products and that aint gonna happen anytime soon."
Good point BKFOUNT Until we stop buying this garbage Ea will not change. Although NHL 07 is well on it's way to becomeing a good game again.Comment

Re: People are noticing That EA Games Are not Good
There once was a time that EA made great games...
But we're in a different era. EA may be the worst offender, but it's entertainment in general. Music, movies, games, all rehashes, sequels, and very fake and corporate. More the result of a focus group than a fresh idea.PSN: JISTIC_OS

That's what happens when a company gets too big for their own good.............................corruption.Comment

Re: People are noticing That EA Games Are not Good
I don't think it's corruption, it's just going for the sure cash. Why spend millions on developing a game when all you have to do is update a sports game with like 3 months of work and it breaks sales records.Comment

Re: People are noticing That EA Games Are not Good
As Bkfount said, EA follows its strategy of rehashes and sequels because us customers are stupid enough to engulf them like free beer at a keg party.
Example: FIFA continues to outsell Winning Eleven worldwide even though it's an inferior game. Why? Because people are stupid enough to buy it "because it's an EA game, so it must be good."
EA may not be a brilliant software company, but it's a brilliant marketing company. Every one of us lemmings who buy their sh*tware, year in and year out, prove that.
Take care,
