Used PS2?? (Advice)

I was looking to maybe purchase a PS2 for Bully and a system that my girlfriend can play(She likes Spyro and Crash). I already have a 360 for myself. My friend is willing to sell me his PS2, the newer smaller one. I think it comes with 1 controller and 4 games.. All for $65. I thought that was a pretty good deal, is it a good deal for a slightly used PS2?

Yes. A used slim PS2 is $119 at EB/Gamestop.

Just my opinion, but you might want to wait for a Wii (if it is in your price range). You can play Spyro and others from the Cube line and your girlfriend will love the Wii.

Other than that as long as the PS2 is in good shape it's a good price.

Make sure all sorts of games and movies work in it, well unless your friend is 110% someone you can trust. Other than that issue, that price is a great deal IMO.

I'd only tell somebody to get a used slim line PS2, if they were in the market for a used PS2. I've gone through 3 of the regular sized ones, they don't work for ****.

I agree the Slim PS2 fixed the DDE's that were chronic with the original PS2's.
