Re: Thread for Xbox 360 "born" on date & if it has had problems
My first one was 1-10-06 and I just used my BB replacement plan to get a new one as it was freezing like crazy.
My replacement was from 6-06 and it was DOA (got a 67 error code upon start-up...which is a hard drive/hardware problem).
Took that back about an hour after my initial replacement and now have a 5-06. So far so good. After 4 days no freezes.Comment

Re: Thread for Xbox 360 "born" on date & if it has had problems
I had a launch 8/05 born on date and it ran great (but HOT) but since it froze a couple of times recently I took advantage of my GameCrazy 1 year warranty on Friday and got a 6/06 machine.
It runs COOLER (much cooler) and quieter than my launch system.
also added a two year warranty for $55 (it starts after the MS 90 day) so I have coverage until March 1st 2009 when a replacement should only be about $149 for a Core.Last edited by Klocker; 12-03-2006, 09:41 PM.Comment

Re: Thread for Xbox 360 "born" on date & if it has had problems
I had an 11/05 unit. Bought it in 05/06, died the day before Halloween. So 5 months with the 3 red rings.
#2 is 06/06, only had it a month, but so far so good. It runs so much cooler I'm amazed. It's quieter and loads quicker. I have no idea why.PSN: JISTIC_OS

the new one I got also seems to run the same way.. i also "raised" the power brick off the ground (using the eraser method) & it seems to help - both machine & brick are cooler.Comment

4-8-2006 only problem I have is my disc tray sticks when I try to open it with no disk in it. I have to tap on the tray and it opens. If a disk is in it and I open the tray, no problems opening at all.The poster formerly know as "FLIGHTWHITE"Comment
