Hmmm...I will rent this for sure, but these big ships don't seem like a good fit for a Freespace type game. I really wish they would make a "Final Unity" type adventure game for the 360 or Wii.DON'T PANICComment

I had decent hopes for this game, but they are quickly evaporating with the fact of the multiple delays, no demo, cutting down 360 multiplayer matches from 8 to 4, and no reviews out yet. It seems like this game is going to bomb. I will probably rent it, but barring something awesome, it just doesnt seem worth the $60 to me.Comment

I got the 360 version for a Xmas present and-it just doesn't stack up for me. I'm a huge star trek fan and thought the star fleet command series for the PC was better than average. Here's my problem with the game-the controls have a awful learning curve,to put it mild. I guess it could be mastered if you wanted to dedicate time that would probably bore you with the gameplay before you get it nailed. The targeting system isn't 100%-meaning it doesn't always lock when it should. That could and WILL make you a sitting duck at times when you think you got a good run going on. I got burned more than once on this glitch/bug? The graphics aren't bad but fall short for next gen IMO. Another major gripe-in skirmish mode-you CANNOT pick who your opponent will be. You can pick the race for them but that's it-what's up with that? that's pretty dumb for a game that is already medicore. You can pick your ships,but so what if you want to recreate a scenario that YOU want. Also-while in space travel,I'm just not feeling the sense of moving too much. It feels like you got a puppet on a string-not a good thing at all. The campaign is dry as it becomes repetitive,frustrating with controls that don't wanna work like they should,no save points either. Play a long mission,make one mistake-or hit a glitch-game over!start again. This game is so wrong I wouldn't have wanted it for even 20 bucks. If you are even considering this mess,rent first. This game is going to be Bockbuster trade-in fodder for sure. I really gave this game a chance and I just can't like it. My score for it-4 out of 10. And that's only because the different ships you can use are cool if your'e into star trek.
