What all was released as DLC? Anything worth the money, I remember reading something about clothing for your horse? That doesn't seem to useful, hopefully there is better content.

:y4: No, there was some sort of Tower, and some new missions to go along with it, and the recently released Knights of the Nine... adding some new stuff...

It wasn't a game, it was just a horse armor download for $3.00.

I know it was just downloadable extras, but it is still pretty stupid they expect people to pay for horse armor, that was my point. But it sounds like they released more useful content later, that was my question.

How wide open does this game play? Is there a main storyline to follow or is it completely open-ended?

It's a must own game IMO. Long gameplay and very enjoyable game.

                    Yeah, I understand that.

The nice thing is that you have a 1080P TV and I was reading that NBA2K7 looks stunning in 1080P. Whenever we upgrade the TV in our family room down the road, I will get the 1080P set just for HD-DVD and BluRay alone since were movie buffs and I do want to take advantage of HD movies.

I have always liked the XBOX/360 controller layout over the PS line. So far, I have really been enjoying the PS3 and I was one of the naysayers after E3 against the PS3. I could have easily of sold this thing on ebay, but kept the 60gb over the 20gb and I don't regret it.

Understandably so... I have a 1080p tv... so I could utilize the PS3 and the HD-DVD from the xbox... and I'm a HUGE movie buff... my only problem is that I haven't been playing ANY games lately... and not really that interested in anything that's came out... I'll buy a PS3 sometime in the near future... just don't know when.

Are there any improvements noted in the PS3 version?

Kinda funny you ask, it was to come out during launch of the PS3 and it got pushed back due to some issues with the loading off of the BluRay + framerate. They delayed to fix the game from those issues. But this version is to have all of the DLC from the 360 and some graphical tweaks from last that I read.

Some things from IGN on the PS3 version:

"Oblivion on the PS3 includes a new set of quests for the Knights of the Nine guild. "

"You no longer have a harsh line cutting across the two levels, they blend together seamlessly and the distant detail and land looks much nicer."

"The downloadable content is actually designed to work with a game that is in-progress and doesn't work as well with a new game. So instead we focused on Knights of the Nine as the new stuff to add to Oblivion that would work well no matter where you are in the game. Downloadable content is something we'd like to support on PS3, but right now that's really in Sony's hands."

This came is freakin huge, and super awesome.

I refuse to ever part with my CE copy even though I rarely ever play it anymore. I'm sure I'll revisit it and go through the whole thing again.

I've been waiting for someone to start this up.
Anyways, is anyone having troubles with loading times and game freezez in this game around the time when the great oblivion gate has to be opened? I thought my CD was scratched so i returned it for a new one but still the same results.
