Wow, Spike TV awards were actually pretty decent from the looks of it.

Can't go wrong with Oblivion and I'm loving the Guitar Hero 2 love.

how the hell did mortal kombat win best fighting game? Oh well, it'll be funny to see Halo 3 win every category next year at the casual gamer awards.

I was listening to 1up Yours and they went through all the catergories. When the cybervixen portion came up, Luke Smith quickly said Jade Raymond should win, LOL.

For those that don't know, Jade is the producer of Assassins Creed.

Best Team sports game is NBA2K7 and nothing but EA titles - sad. While I wasn't a big fan of the game, MLB the Show deserved to at least be nominated
HBO's "The Wire" should rank as one of the top 10 shows EVER on tv - period

              XBL gamertag: d0meBreaker22 (that's a zero)

congrats Steelers, city of Pittsburgh, and Steeler Nation - SIX TIME WORLD CHAMPS

Seconded. In fact, I'll go a step further: that was the team sports game of the year, IMO.

I'll third that. MLB:The Show is one of the best sports games out there. It should have gotten a serious nod. I wonder if sales have to do with the nominations?
But I was glad that NHL07 (360) got recognized. It's a great sports game, let alone hockey game.

Isn't it time to stop considering Tony Hawk a sports game?
I will also second this. It's not a sport.

Well, I brought it largely based on the reputation it has here and didn't really like it - still preferred MVP. But that's just my opinion; by in large most people seemed to really like it so it should've been nominated. I think NBA2K7 deserved the award because of it's total package and what it brought to next gen. NHL and FIFA are credible nods also I guess, but from what I hear they're largely incomplete games (EA's approach to next gen). Madden and NCAA seem to have been thrown in on reputation alone. Then again, it's difficult to see if they were making a distinction between next gen and current gen gaming

While the VGAs are geared toward a more casual gaming audience, and probably mostly topical in nature, you have to hand it to NBA 2K7 for doing what they did there.
Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.
