    Elebits

Picked up Elibits after work. Might get some play time with it in the early morning hours after I get off work...again.
If I do I'll post some impressions.

I'm VERY curious for your impressions, Sky. I've had this game on my charts for a long time, but the release date wasn't until the 15th I thought? Did you preorder it or something?

        Re: Elebits

The release was today(tomorrow for Super Swing Golf):
Anyways I was able to play for a little bit before getting ready for a power nap before work.

In a nut shell the game is FUN!
It has a nice tutorial at the beginning (you can choose not to go through it though) to show you how to use the controls. ie Target door handle , press A to grab and then turn controller to turn door handle.

In the beginning the town has a black out and you need to find Elebits to restore power. Lights, electrical devices etc.
Each level has a certain goal of watts you must obtain while a timer counts down. In the first mission which is your room(you're a kid) you need to collect 800 watts worth of elebits. Once you clear the stage you can elect to move on or stay until the timer runs out to get more power.

Each level also has 3 pink Elebits and if you find them all you unlock another game mode. So clearing the level quick as possible is important so you have plenty of time to find the special stuff.

Now when I first started I thought "this is going to be way to easy"
Well I was wrong. With under a minute left with 50 watts to go I was sweating it.
I blame it mostly on being new to the game

Each level/room has electrical devices you can turn on to get bonus Elebits. However these electrical devices require..... yep electricity. Each device(or door) shows how much is required and once you have enough a message will pop up saying "Tv power on". Then you turn the tv on and get the zapper gun ready as many Elebits will start to fly out.

The bonus Elebits do not count towards the watts you need but rather to upgrade your gun as certain objects are too heavy to move with a level 1 gun.

You move stuff around and also must break some things as Elebits could be hinding in them especially the pink ones.

There is a multiplayer mode (up to 4 people I believe) but I haven't gotten into that yet.

Well that's about it. So far it is a very fun and unique game.

Pick it up as I give it

Sounds fun! I'll trade in Marvel Alliance for it this weekend.

            Re: Elebits

I picked it up yesterday. Was told golf would be in yesterday as well but it wasn't so I got elebits.

The tutorial is quite long but very good. There is a lot to do in this game. You will be picking up, turning on, shaking, moving, baking, well maybe not baking but you will be using your wimote like crazy. The accuracy is spot on
with no lag whatsoever. This is going to be a fun fun game.

One bit of advice: When looking for Elebits you need to be carefull of the mess you're making. I was going through a bunch of closets just throwing crap all over the place and boxed myself in. Cost me some serious time cleaning a path for me to move to a different spot.

It's on my Xmas list, but I saw 2 stuffed Elebits next to our bed yesterday where my wife stores the unwrapped Xmas gifts. So either we have Elebits going on energy strike at my house, or she picked it up and got the stuffed animals free..LOL

I'm planning on going to exchange my Marvel Alliance for Elebits right now @ Circuit City or Target. Hopefully I'll end up with a copy.
