A singing game ala singstar for xbox 360

Does anyone know if there anything like Singstar or Guitar hero being planned for the xbox360?

A friend of mine who is pretty heavily into his gaming (mostly online PC games like counter strike etc) is tossing up between getting a 360 or a ps3. I have a 360 and have been telling him how great GOW, R6, COD3, SC etc all are and how much fun they can be on xbox live. He was basically all set to take the plunge and get a 360 and he was talking to his wife about it. She basically killed the idea because she is a huge fan of singstar on the ps2 and her and all her gal pals get together and drink wine and sing their little hearts out.

She said as long as singstar is on sony she only wants him to get a ps3 even if it is nealy twice the cost. Is it just me or does it seem like microsoft could be missing out on a big market by not making a similar product?

Guitar Hero is coming in March or so.

I'm sure the next Karaoke Revolution will be coming as well, the one after the American Idol one for the PS2.

Sounds like your friend needs a testosterone injection.

But seriously, can't you buy a stand alone karaoke machine? It seems pretty lame to get a PS3 just to play a karaoke game, but what do I know.

haha I said the exact same thing to him. I guess he figures that if they both use the console it'll been seen as a purchase for "them" rather than for "him". Plus there is the fact that he's been a ps2 man in the past and still has a soft spot for the company and therefore the ps3.

The point still remains that Miscrosoft need to try and attract more casual games with things like this rather than just "hardcore" gamers imo.....

God I am so pissed that the Karaoke American Idol is only for the PS2. I'm dying for a Karaoke Revolution game for the 360.. I'm so tempted to buy a used PS2 just for the three karaoke games.

Getting a normal Karaoke machine thing doesn't seem as fun as the video game for some reason. Trust me I know, during the holidays, and for any other gosh darn reason, Filipinos will find any excuse to fire that thing up.

But really, for parties this game is freaking incredible.

God I am so pissed that the Karaoke American Idol is only for the PS2. I'm dying for a Karaoke Revolution game for the 360.. I'm so tempted to buy a used PS2 just for the three karaoke games.

Getting a normal Karaoke machine thing doesn't seem as fun as the video game for some reason. Trust me I know, during the holidays, and for any other gosh darn reason, Filipinos will find any excuse to fire that thing up.

But really, for parties this game is freaking incredible.

Hopefully they get this worked out for the PS3, I would really enjoy some of these games on the PS3.

There's 5 Karaoke Revolution games... I have all 5

1, 2, 3, Party, and Country.

I could never get tired of those games.
