Are the monster cables worth it?

Just wondering if anyone had the HD Monster cables for the Xbox360 and if they provide a better picture over the HD cables that come with the Pro system?

Noticeable...but NOT worth it. If your tv can do it though, the Monster VGA cables are DEFINITELY worth it. Huge difference, IMO.

Not worth it at all. Monster cables are overpriced IMO. You can get the same quality for much less.

Check out Acoustic Research cables. Very good quality, very good performance and cheaper than Monster. There are many other brands as well....AR just came to my mind first.

I used to have the Monster Component Cables and they were slightly better than the MS brand, but not worth the money. Good thing I only paid $30 for them on Amazon, I was able to resell them on ebay for a bit more.

The other thing I noticed was that the Monster cables require an additional cable to use 5.1 surround sound, how dumb is that!!

I've used Acoustic Research cables for my S-video connections, and they're superb. You can find Acoustic Research cables for DIRT cheap on eBay. I bought four S-video cables of 3 feet or less for a grand total of $12 on eBay, and I bet they're every bit as good as Monster, for which you'll pay $30 or $40 for one cable.

Monster Cables are about as hyped as Gears of War <gasp>.

I went with them with my first Xbox. They had a specific set specially designed for the Xbox. They were nice, but not necessary.
