    Hot Wii???????

Just curious if others consoles are staying hot even after being turned off for hours. I noticed that an orange light stays on all the time where the power button is. So I touched the side and the system is very warm, close to being hot. Is this normal?

That's Wii Connect, even when off it's always connected to the net.

I'm more concerned about the warmness of the system. The side of mine stays very warm on the left side. Just seems abnormal for the system to stay that warm. Really worried about this.

yeah, mine's kinda warm too. I've noticed that the discs come out warm as well.

It's the same reason why I decided to unplug my XBOX360 after use.

The light always stays on in the power supply and even though it shouldn't be something to worry about, I don't like standby.

Enough people have been complaining about overheated consoles lately. Why would I want my power supply on when I'm not using it? Just pull the plug.

Like EG said, it's WiiConnect 24 that is causing your system to run warm since it's on a standby type mode. Mine ran warm while not on and I shut off the WiiConnect 24.
