It amazes me as to how blind people are that a single game can move systems no matter what the price of the system is.

It depends on what you mean by move systems. The only way the Show becomes a system seller for a 600 dollar system is if 2K's game sucks again and in the next year, baseball has a huge surge in popularity. As is baseball is the 3rd highest selling sports genre in the us behind football and basketball. Its the fourth sports genre in the world behind soccer, basketball and football. Sure there will be a few people that will choose a ps3 over a 360 because of this game but it wont be a noticeable amount and most of those people probably would have bought a PS3 anyway.

I think the problem is they're hung up on the words "system seller" and their meaning.

When we use it, we use it in the literal sense. People will buy the system to play the game. I'm guessing those in denial/disbelief feel it is a game that will sell a very high number of systems.

That's where all the "arguments" lie.

I have compiled a master list of all the ones that were noted by people on here and some more that I added to the list. I don't care how you look at it, both companies have enough heavy hitters under the belts to provide a nice amount of titles to help differentiate themselves from each other.

Hmm considering Madden and The Show represent different sports its hard to make a comparison. But if your judging each on graphics, gameplay, animation, sound(play by play) on current gen, I would say The Show wins in each category and if its 06 the show vs Madden07 on 360 then The Show wins all except graphics (because of the jaggies) in my opinion

Are we talking system seller for those who frequent the OS boards or the general gaming public? Yes, maybe if we are referring to the OS crowd, a game like the show would motivate to purchase a PS3. I've never played the game, so I don't know, but still, the idea of one game being the motivating factor in me buying a specific system kinda makes me nervous.
