            Just played Madden 07 in dolby 5.1 and WOW is all I can say.

            The players entrance...there was firecrackers going off in all my rear speakers...commentary from the center...crowd going insane all over...hecklers in the rears...

            That game sound amazing.

            Man have I been missing out...5.1. should get a LOT more space on gaming reviews. They seem to pass over it and concentrate on graphics.

            Sound brings these things to LIFE.

                Depends on the speaks. My 5.1 currently are cheap one's...my new soundcard is amazingly good and deserves me to get a set of speakers to match it.

                Whether my Mrs agrees on yet another purchase...I've bought a HDTV, PC, X-Fi sound card, 360, tonnes of games all in the past year...is the only area of debate

                I'd love to get these...and would do if it didn't mean we'd have to re mortgage our house

                    Pioneer makes great ones for specifically for the 360. The model is HTS-GS1. They are 600 watts RMS and their getting great reviews from alot of people..
                    NBA2K is the standard of sports games period.

                            The Wii doesn't do 5.1 but rather Dolby Pro Logic II.

                                Thanks for the advice. Realistically I think I'll settle with the small creatives I've already got as they sound really good.

                                I sat down last night and worked out how much i've spent on a new HDTV, sound set up, games etc...

                                And it's fair to say, speakers are going to have to wait
