Re: Virtua Fighter 5 coming to the 360 !
I agree, people are quick to right off Sony's software. They have a solid lineup for 2007 and 2008 and a lot of that is 1st party stuff. I'm personally looking forward to Ratchet and Clank, Sly Cooper, hopefully another TMB game from Incog.
So while 2006 looks like a coin flip at best March 2007 is when it will get interesting for the PS3.Comment

Coolboarders is another game I wish they would do again. I liked Coolboarders for the PS2 and that was the last one they did.Comment

Re: Virtua Fighter 5 coming to the 360 !
I think Sony is looking at their own franchises this gen and creating more IP's instead of focusing on 3rd party games. How ever it works out for them I do like Sony 1st party games. Hot Shot's Golf, Wipeout are still some of my favorites.
p.s. The PS3's hardware gives me more confidence every time I turn it on.Comment

Re: Virtua Fighter 5 coming to the 360 !
Being a PS3 owner myself it makes me wonder if I made the right choice with buying the PS3.
Although Virtua Fighter 5 will come out sooner for the PS3 than for the 360 the 360 version will be based on revision C where as the PS3 version will be based on revision B. It seems like all the exclusive titles that made the PS3 a worthy purchase or slowly finding its way onto the 360. It doesn't really bode well for owners and those who are on the fence as to whether or not they should even both getting a PS3 since many of the exclusives that made the PS3 so appealing are creeping onto the XBOX 360.
However there are a couple of reasons as to what has kept me from going back to the 360, which had a for a short period of time, rather than to keep my PS3:
1. System reliability: In my two stints with the 360 I only had the console for a short period of time. First stint 3 days, second stint almost a week. The first stint I purchased the console thinking its time to go next gen. Then I had a mountain of bills so I had to return it because I knew I wouldn't be able to afford it. However, the second time around I had the funds but I ended up returning because ultimately I really wanted the PS3 and I had purchased the 360 because I thought I wasn't going to be able to get a PS3 for a while (or so I thought) so just bought the 360. However in both times I had the 360 the thing that scared me the most were the numerous cases of people having to get their 360s serviced because they got the red light of doom. I don't want to have to shell out more money to get my 360 serviced and when I buy a console I should only worry about the games that will be available for it not about the reliability of the console itself.
2. Online: Even if you're not a fan of the 360 everyone has to admit, the 360's online interface completely blows the PS3 out of th water. There are no ifs or buts about it. However to me, the fact that the PS3's online is FREE is a big plus for me. As much as I enjoyed XBOX Live when I had the original XBOX and as much as I enjoyed Live on the 360 when I had it the two times which I did, the fact that online play for the PS3 is free compared to the 360 is a big plus for me, so I guess that's also helped in the decision making process.
3. Region free games: I know to a lot of people this may be a mute point, but to me this is huge. There are games that I like to import from Japan and play (reason why I modded my PS2) and I'm sure that will be the case with the PS3. Although Microsoft has said the 360 is region free as well, that is up to the prerogative of the developers and most have chosen to region lock their games. It's nice that with the PS3 I don't have to worry about that as ALL PS3 GAMES ARE REGION FREE!!!! That's a sweet deal for me as I like to import.
Well all in all I do like my PS3 but with the system losing all its exclusives it's tough to have a lot of faith in the console. Hopefully 2007 will be the year that the PS3 begins to show its stuff and bring more consumer confidence in the console.Comment

I think the PS3 will do fine it's just Sony will have to sweat it out this Gen and they have no one to blame but themselves.Comment

Re: Virtua Fighter 5 coming to the 360 !
Gamesradar has exclusive coverage up for the 360 version.
First Look
By now, PlayStation 3 gamers have had their hands on the superb Virtua Fighter 5 for over two months - and we can attest, it's a fantastic fighter on that platform. Guess what? The first glimpses we've had of the 360 version, thanks to a trip to developer AM2's headquarters in Tokyo, suggest that the game is going to be just as good - if not better - on the Xbox 360.We do know that the game will be receiving some tweaks over the PS3 version, including better anti-aliasing - to make the graphics look smoother. The game will also get analog control - the arcade version, of course, doesn't use it, but the unresponsive Xbox 360 D-pad makes it a must. The one complaint we had with the PS3 version - that the computer players weren't very realistic or fun to fight against - is being overhauled for the Xbox 360 release with much improved artificial intelligence based on newer arcade data.

Virtua Fighter 5 Eyes-On
It exists and it is beautiful.
While Virtua Fighter 5 is a port of the PS3 version, refinements have been made to pretty things up. The aliasing issues, which were quite noticeable in the PS3 version, are gone from the 360 build. There's no shimmer, no ugly jagged lines -- Virtua Fighter 5 on 360 is beautiful. There are a lot of nice, subtle effects that add a nice touch to the environments, such as early-morning fog rolling across the arena. The backdrops are clean and colorful and the game runs smooth as a thoroughbred.
And this is just the beginning, as Sega says it will have more information to reveal next month.Last edited by Flawless; 06-21-2007, 08:22 PM.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: Virtua Fighter 5 coming to the 360 !
There have been a lot of rumors since Virtua Fighter 5 was announced for the Xbox 360. Would there be Xbox Live multiplayer or wouldn't there be? SEGA, at first, said: 'No, it wont', but today SEGA confirmed that the Xbox 360 version of Virtua Fighter 5 will indeed be featuring online multiplayer duels over Xbox Live.
And that's not all. The Xbox 360 version will feature the latest update in playmechanics from the Arcade version. Also, the Quest Mode has been expanded, with more CPU-opponents to fight with as well as more objects and articles to customize your character with. That's not all because the DOJO-mode will also be receiving an update on the Xbox 360 version. New functions have been added, like: rankings, training settings, throw- and defensive training as well as a feature to adjust the opponents health and position.
Probably the biggest improvement will be the addition of online multiplayer duels through Xbox Live. Players can compete 1-on-1 with any player from around the world. Players can choose from a total of 17 different characters, which are all individually customizable. Each character has four different costumes but more costumes can be unlocked by playing the Quest Mode. Release: Autumn 2007.http://www.myspace.com/phillthegenesis
