Burger King games outsell Gears of War

Last week, Microsoft proudly touted the sales figures of its Xbox 360-exclusive shooter Gears of War, mentioning that it had achieved sales of 2 million copies worldwide in just six weeks of release. Microsoft was mildly one-upped by promotional partner Burger King today, as the fast-food chain announced that its trio of games for the Xbox and Xbox 360 had broken the 2 million mark in just four weeks.

That number represents the cumulative sales of Burger King's three games--Pocketbike Racer, Big Bumpin', and Sneak King. All three were developed by Blitz Games, maker of the original Fuzion Frenzy, and are rated E for Everyone. The games sell for $3.99 each with the purchase of a value meal, while supplies last.

well creepy in only that if these were xbox live downloads, they would have sold many more. They're solid games that sell for a great price. Cheaper than most of the Wii throwback games. Not a shock at all that they are selling well.

Still looks odd when they compare this to a game sold worldwide and with a widespread marketing campaign.

It looks odd when they compare the sales of a three games that costs $3.99 to one game that costs $59.99

Yeah, it means that each game sold about 700,000 copies though, which is more than I thought they would...

Oh, and I do own Sneak King (which is creepily fun) so I guess I contributed.

I've got all three.

Pocket Bike Racer is one of the best times I've had with my 360. Mindless fun.

It's interesting that... well... people sometimes pick up their games on their lunch break. Obviously this is the only time that you can pick up Burger King.

I think I'll pick up one of them today. How are these games on Xbox?
