Anyone use a smaller LCD for 360 gaming?

As LCD prices are dropping, I'm looking into upgrading (not right away, but eventually). It got me to thinking, maybe I'd be more comfortable with a desktop set-up rather than a living-room set-up.

I was just curious who uses a smaller LCD as a desktop set-up, with the screen closer to you, as if your gaming set-up was along the lines of a PC.

The more I look at the idea, the more appealing it is to me.

    Thanks

I use a 26" Protron WS LCD. It has 2 component ins, 1 HDMI, 1 VGA and
2 composite. Also has TV input as well as SVideo.
I have my 360 and PC hooked up to it. (Along with cable)

Getting ready to buy a new LCD for Console/DVD use only. Haven't decided on what to get yet.

My setup is pretty much the same as skyboxers. I have a 23" samsung lcd I use for 360 gaming and my pc is hooked up to it as well.

I didn't want to go out and spend money on an HDTV because I'm getting fairly close to having enough AMEX Platinum rewards points to get one for free, so I decided to upgrade my monitor instead. I wound up picking up a terrific Gateway 19" widescreen monitor at Circuit City for a little over $200.00.

How's the picture? Are you using DVI or VGA? Also, what do you do for audio? Thanks!

The picture is outstanding, much brighter and sharper than 99% of the monitors you'll see for twice the price. I use an off brand Xbox 360 VGA connector I picked up on ebay for around $10 (the MS one sells for $30-40). For audio I use the same surround sound system I have hooked up to my pc (Altec Lansing GT 5051, http://www.alteclansing.com/product_...asp?pID=GT5051 ). The sound isn't quite as good as my home theater setup, but it's more than passable.

I liked that one as well, but the price was more than I wanted to spend.

I noticed in your earlier post that you're looking for a monitor with multiple VGA inputs. Be advised that the 19" Gateway only has two inputs (one VGA, one DVI).
