    PS3 Component Cables?

One last PS3 question.. I forgot that the PS3 doesnt come with component cables. I just have two questions for people that have them..

Im about to buy a new HDTV soon with HDMI. Is it better to wait and buy HDMI connections instead of the regular HD component cables?

Other question is... If i end up getting the component cables, should I get the better ones? They were sold out of the the better 69 dollar cables. They only had the 25 dollar Reacrt ones. The best buy guy said there is a big difference in picture quality. Is that true? Or is the guy just trying to upsell me?

    Thanks

If your HDTV has an HDMI connection i'd wait and get the HDMI cable. If you decide to use component cables buy the Sony PS2 brand, they work perfectly on the PS3.

Exactly what Rodster says. Good move on Sony not forcing customers to buy a new set of component cables.

In terms of HDMI vs. Component unless your TV is 1080p, if you're only using 720p there is no real difference between component and HDMI. Anyone that tries to tell you otherwise just google HDMI vs. Component and hear everything that people have stated with regards to the two and you'll see there's no real difference between the two.

However if you TV is 1080p then yeah you're going to need to have an HDMI cable.
