    Question for Wii owners

I just picked up a Wii today and I just had a few questions on how to get maximum performance from the console:

    1) Mine came with standard red, white yellow cables. What would you recommend for someone who ones a 51-inch HDTV? Component cables? If so, any suggestions?

    2) I want to hook up the Wii to surround sound. Any suggestions on cables for that?

Thanks in advance for your help. I already own a 360, but I am really looking forward to the Wii's unique controller and gameplay.

Definitely get the component cables. They make a big difference. Everything is much crisper. I got my components through the Nintendo online store.

I have the same question as you for the surround sound. The components only have RCA audio jacks, so I'm not sure how you would get dolby digital. In fact, I'm not even sure if the Wii supports dolby digital.

Cool, thanks for your help on the component cables.

Based on a bit of research, it looks like the Wii supports Dolby Pro Logic but not Dolby Digital.
