How long is the repair process (xbox 360)?

They are sending some shipping box that's going to take a few day(s) or so and then I have to ship main hardware to them. I guessing this whole process is going to go at least a month. (Ughh....) The only good thing about this mess is that I don't have to pay anything for the repair or a replacement.

As quick as 2 weeks, or as long as a month. Somewhere along those lines, I think they've slow down a bit now. My first 360 that died was replaced in a little over a week. They would use next day air to get me the box, and I believe they did the same for returning it.

Mine took about a month (with many problems actually getting MS to ship the box to me). I would expect 2-3 weeks is more likely if they actually process your repair order right away.

I live in Texas and by sending it UPS Ground it got to McAllen in 1 day. Overall it took 5 business days from the time I shipped it to the time I got it back. Although this was after waiting 2 weeks for the box to send it out. After they get it in McAllen they should not have your 360 for more than 2 days.

I've been through the process twice now (ugh), and each time took 2 weeks.

process is to long.. take the 360 defect to a local Walmart or Target and return it.. you get 3 to 5 returns a year at each store without a reciept!!

2 to 3 weeks, but do as the guy above said. MS is just going to send you back a refurbished unit that will break again in 2 to 3 months.

I had my 360 since Jan 1, 2006.

I called two Walmart(s) and they both said no--even if I had a receipt (90 days is the limit).

I guess you should've got an in-store warranty from somewhere else. I got one for like a few months at EB games. I heard Circuit City had em for like a year or two where you could just take it back and exchange it whenever it broke down.
