I heard about this one yesterday over at IGN, this is yet another blow to the PS3.

Next we will be hearing that SCEA will be porting MLB07:The Show to the 360.

I'm not a fighting game fan, not the new ones anyway. Still love Mortal Kombat 3 and Street Fighter 2, but other than that, the new fighting games just don't do it for me.

Either way, if Tekken jumps to the 360, that's a major blow to Sony.

My one beef with the 360's 07 lineup was the lack of good fighting games. Within the last couple weeks that problem has been addressed pretty thoroughly. Give me a next-gen Soul Calibur and I'm set for the year.

Considering Namco's Tekken 6 was one of the games Sony showed last E3, rumors that the franchise -- which has never appeared on another console -- is coming to the Xbox 360 with Live Support in 2007 may be premature (even though the source of the rumors is the same place the VF5 to 360 rumors began). However, the recent migration of the Virtua Fighter series to Xbox 360 could motivate Tekken developers to bring the fight (think of the franchises as mortal enemies) to another platform.
When talking about Namco and 3D fighters, expect to hear about the next Soul Calibur coming to the Xbox 360 before Tekken 6 is announced for Microsoft's platform.

Tekken 6 to 360 is huge imo. I'm feeling less and less happy buying a PS3, more and more developers are running to the 360.

You bought it...the money is already spent...no need for remorse. The PS3 will eventually justify its price, and we will all have one at some point. Have you tried Tekken: DR yet?

LOL! I haven' tried Tekken yet. I think the PS3 will be a nice system 2 yrs from now, but the futre looks bleak right now.

No fake there's Formula One 06, there's also Warhawk, Motorstorm, Hotshots Golf, Rachet and Clank, maybe DMC4, i'm happy with my purchase. Lot's of good to great games in 07.

Namco-Bandai has released an announcement regarding their software plans for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Nintendo Wii. Namco-Bandai cites slower than expected sales of the PlayStation 3 leading them to a less-than-projected sales mark of 300,000 for Gundam Musou (the Gundam beam 'em up that plays like Dynasty Warriors). Namco-Bandai's original prediction for the game was 500,000 sold.

"PS3 did not make a good start, which will make the transition from the old game console to the next generation system more prolonged than we had earlier thought. "This will keep a lid on sales of our video games in the first half, although we believe that sales of PS3 will increase in the second half (to March 2008)," Namco-Bandai president Takeo Takasu said.


With that in mind, Namco-Bandai has announced that they have plans to release 23 PlayStation 3 games for fiscal 2008 (March 2007-March 2008). The Xbox 360 will see 24 games during the same period, and the Nintendo Wii will receive 37.
