    Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection Hands-On

    Gamespot Hands-On
GameSpot is the world's largest source for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, PS Vita, Wii PC, 3DS, PSP, DS, video game news, reviews, previews, trailers, walkthroughs, and more.

Though it isn't available on the US version of Sony's PlayStation Store just yet, Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection is now available for purchase in Hong Kong and Japan. No, we're not talking about another PSP download. This is the same fighting game that Namco put out on the PSP, but it's running on the PlayStation 3, with full support for widescreen and 1080p resolution. It appears to take after the arcade release, meaning there aren't many extra modes, but it's most certainly the same exciting game of Tekken that you've come to expect from Namco.

While it doesn't offer the same bowling modes or online world rankings that the PSP game offered, this budget-priced version of Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection has it where it counts: in the gameplay. Plans for a US release of this game haven't been announced at this time, but since it's already sitting in foreign stores (and since more crafty North American PS3 owners are figuring out how to purchase from those stores by the day), it probably isn't too far off.

Ya..I've got it and it's probably my fav game on the system, but I thought the PS3 version was available for D/L in all markets.

All indications are that it's definitely coming here to the US.

It would be nice if it was coming sooner, Sony needs some exclusives out for the PS3. I think this would be something nice if your a Tekken fan, granted its Tekken 5 on steroids.

Shane on the latest 1upyours podcast says that Tekken 5: DR is coming to the US with updated modes. He said it will be worth the wait.

Downloaded this last night, game looks great, has a ton of charaters and plays like the Tekken I fondly remember from my PS1 days, I never owned a PS2, well worth $20.

Cool, I think I'll download T5 this weekend. Gamespot really liked it too.
