    Wii Third-Party Support

No information here, just a question. What kind of support is the Wii getting from, say, 2k Sports on their games? Will MLB 2k7 be available for the Wii? How about EA games, besides Madden? And finally, what about non-sport games?

    Re: Wii Third-Party Support

EA seems to be behind the Wii 100%. They are making a Wii only version of SSX coming out soon, Madden was incredible on it, etc. Ubi Soft has been, and will be making many games for the system.

No clue on 2K, but the Wii is selling like crazy, and developers see this, and will make games for a system that has an installed base of as large as the Wii's is/will be.

I think 2K announced "the Bigs" - their over-the-top baseball game - will hit the Wii along with other consoles this fall. I don't remember hearing anything about the regular sports franchises, but as ExtremeGamer said, the market may force their hand - gotta make sales.

Remember, when you develop games for a Nintendo system your biggest competition is.....Nintendo.

          Re: Wii Third-Party Support

I would think their third-party support would be better than the GameCube's. As Extreme has already posted, EA is behind the Wii 100%, Ubisoft has unloaded a lot of games already, there will be an exclusive Resident Evil designed for the system, and its selling like hot cakes. I think I'm more excited for an arcade baseball game than a sim baseball game at this point. Hopefully at E3, there will be a slew of Wii games to look forward to.

            Sports games...
2K are releasing their arcade baseball game (Biggs or something?) on the Wii.

EA are releasing Tiger soon and apparantly NBA Live 07 soon too.

Sure the graphics aren't as good as the 360/PS3 versions but if the gameplay and polish of Madden Wii are anything to go by, these two games could be really good. I'm really interested to see how they configure the controls for NBA Live.
