    Should I start to worry(360)?

I got my 360 in Feb/March last year and have had 1 or 2 'freezes' but get the DDE at least 2-3 times a week. Nothing major but irritating. The thing is I have been noticing over the last week or two that I'll be playing a game and the 360 seems to get louder, make a grinding noise for a sec and then it sounds like it's crashing but it doesn't. Should I be expecting the 3 rings of death soon? I'm seriously thinking about a PS3 but I'm not overly thrilled with having to start over with a new system and all the accessories,etc..

I'd send it back to MS before the 1 year warranty expires. 2-3 DDE's a week is not normal.

Sounds like your dvd drive is failing. That would explain the loud noise and lockups.
