There is still tons of WW2 and War games they can touch up on like Stalingrad, the Winter War etc.

I can't wait for Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway but beyond that or any more BiA games I don't know how many more WWII shooters I can stomach.

Someone should make a great Vietname game for the 360, that would be fantastic. Plus imagine some of the great Hendrix tunes they could put in there. Nothing quite as scary as being lost in the jungle at night with Vietcong all around you in 360 HD glory.

I could not agree moreI would love to see a Vietnam game on the 360.
I keep thinking of the graphics on games like Pdz (jungle level) also Crysis and throw in the graphics of say GRAW, man.....that would be an awesome experience.

That's what I'm saying! Where are the games where we're out in Afghanistan and Iraq chasing terrorists? Is all of that still too recent for there to be a video game made about it? I don't think so. After all, the movie World Trade Center is already available on DVD.

Without this conversation plunging totally off a precipice, it's probably the same reason you don't see many games made about Vietnam. Nobody has ever argued about our role in WWII, which is why it's the most popular subject for historical battle retellings.

The Xbox had a huge run of Vietnam games in 2002, but everyone wanted WW2 games and they sold like crap.

I really think we need some WWI games, or maybe even a French-Indian War game. I know they sell, but I cannot understand how such a gluttony of WWII games can survive in the market, regardless of how good they may be.

Skerik....you have to be careful with your word selection.....you're going to send some people to dictionary.com ...
While I agree with the rest of your statement somewhat, I don't think it was the blurred line of right or wrong, our boys in both wars did admirable jobs....I believe it's the fact that you had many, many more epic battles that happened during WWII that were actually planned, mapped and then studied to a much greater degree than in Vietnam.

As for me......while I would love a great Vietnam war era game....if the WWII game is well done and brings something new to the genre, I'd play it in a heartbeat......I mean most of you guys complaining have been playing all sorts of games over and over and over again for years....so what's your beef now?

You are so right, man. A game based on the movie "Apocalypse Now" -- my favorite film! -- would be EPIC if it was done right.

Imagine. There would be big battle missions, like when the choppers napalmed the Vietnamese village and then landed there, jungle missions like when Willard and Chef ran into the tiger while looking for mangoes, boat search missions, crossing under the bridge into Cambodia, etc., etc.

It would be Grand Theft Auto meets the Vietnam War. That would be amazing if done right.

A WWI game would be the worst game ever.

The thing I don't understand about the games, is why don't they ever do the Japanese theater aside from the lame MoH? Seriously, we've played enough DDay and Europe, give us Asia. Or a modern game.
