    Manhunt 2

Coming soon to your PSP, PS2, and...Wii?!

Today Rockstar Games announced Manhunt 2 for the PlayStation 2, PSP, and the Wii (!). The newly-formed Rockstar London will be handling the PS2 and PSP versions, while Rockstar Toronto is heading up Wiihunt.

"With Manhunt 2 we have tried to create a game that stays close to the original concept of chilling suspense and stealth, whilst pushing the game design and storytelling forward," said Sam Houser, founder and executive producer of Rockstar Games. "We are also excited to have our newest development team, Rockstar London, working on the title alongside our two established UK studios, Rockstar North and Leeds."

Manhunt 2 will be available this summer.

I thought the 1st was subpar.

I guess they kept it that way without a release on the next gen stuff, as the wii version is most likely a tweaked ps2 port anyways.

Awesome news. The 1st had a great freaky atmosphere. Should be interesting to see what cool kills they have cooked up.

People are demanding an AO rating for Manhunt 2, and it's already been banned in the UK.

I thought AO was only reserved for detestable displays of nudity.

Looks like either you can perform Castrations in Manhunt 2 or it's really, really graphic.

Although seeing an AO game sold on Nintendo would be very interesting.

I'm pretty sure none of the console makers license AO games. I would expect a delay.

I can see it being delayed. I mean, this is worse than the hot coffee re-rating. This game will be banned in the UK, while being basically blacklisted in the majority of US retail stores due to it's rating. It's not worth the free publicity.

It is unconstitutional (In the US) and censorship for a company not to allow the public to choose whether to buy and play a game based upon its rating. No one is being forced to watch or play an AO game.

And an AO rating because of sex? Is it that sex is viewed as more morally wrong than killing? Is violence and death the lesser of two evils here. Makes no sense to me.

It's an AO game because of violence, not sex.

Rockstar can release it at AO, just most stores won't carry it, that's all.

no one is breaking any laws. If this game comes out, you can still buy it. It's just that a majority of retailers won't carry it due to their own policies. The US will never ban it outright, that's left for countries like the UK, Germany, and Australia to do.
