Re: Are we ggoing to receive Shenmue III for next-gen?
I really digged the first Shenmue on the DC but just could'nt get into Shenmue II on the XBox.
Unfortunately I have'nt heard anything about a release on the 360. I'd probably give it a rent if it does end up coming out.XBL Gamertag: hoos4974

I would love to see it, but I seriously doubt it. Doesn't make much sense, and you'd guess if it was going to happen they would have talked about it by now.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment

Another great game down the tubes.
There will always be hope though.Comment

Shenmue is my favorite video game series ever, and it only has two games. I still hope and hope one day the third installment will be released. There are so many fans of the game who would buy it, but they always seem to shoot down hopes of it ever happening.Comment

Re: Are we going to receive Shenmue III for next-gen?
I only played the first. To me it was more of an experience than it was a game. More of something I was in 'aww' of because of how much you could do rather than a game I really looked forward to playing because it was a lot of fun.
Wasn't the series originally planned to be something like 12 games long?Comment

I don't know if it was ever going to be 12 games long, it was supposed to be 12 or 13 chapters long. Shenmue 1 was chapter one, but Shenmue 2 had a bunch of chapters in it, and if Shenmue 3 ever came out it would have been the rest of the chapters. I don't know if that was the original plan though.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment

I too think it's a travesty to leave the trilogy incomplete. This series is one of the greatest videogame experiences of all time in my opinion, and I feel like all of the fans are being robbed.Comment

I really like how sega went in depth with the game, which probably lead to it being costly.
You can even see shadows of shenmue in Yakuza. The city streets, interacting with tons of NPC's, and the combos and stuff you need to learn.
Sega could do much better than they are now, yet they keep churning out **** like countless sonic trash that makes them look bad.Comment

Re: Are we going to receive Shenmue III for next-gen?
It seems like new Shenmue game from SEGA is indeed coming. Someone at NeoGaf have spotted a new trademark for the cult classic from SEGA, Shenmue. So expect to hear something from SEGA on Shenmue 3 at E3 2014.
Its being a decade since the last game in Shenmue series, Shenmue 2 released and it didn't complete the storyline of the franchise and this has been the main reason why fans have being demanding to see a brand new instalment in the series.
Check out the trademark registeration here, ■■速報@保管庫(Alt)■■ : [商標]SCE「オトイイネ」「ブラッドボーン」セガ「SHENMUE」などの商標が出願されたらしい . Tell us in the comment section below, what you want to see in the Shenmue 3?
Going into a flashback, Shenmue 2 Storyline reads: The epic continues as Ryo Hazuki arrives in Hong Kong on his quest to avenge his father's murder by the warlord Lan Di and unravel the mystery of the Phoenix mirror.
Set in Hong Kong, Kowloon, and Guilin, you'll travel through breathtaking scenery, rich with mountainous wilderness, traditional Taoist temples, and stunning tropical landscapes. As you move through massive, highly-detailed 3D worlds, you'll interact with almost every facet of your environment as well as a whole new cast of characters.
