    360 shooters

So I just got my 360 yesterday, upgraded my live account and now I'm ready to play some online shooters, which is all I play anymore. I already have Gears of War and Rainbow 6: Vegas. My question is, what other 360 shooters still have a lot of players online? I've heard Call of Duty 3, but what about Quake 4, Perfect Dark 0, Lost Planet, FEAR, how are those online and do many people play them? All suggestions are welcome, thanks.

I've heard good talk of Call of Duty 3 online, but I've never tried it. As far as I'm concerned, there's the two you already have, and then there's "everything else". Lost Planet kind of has a niche with the unique gameplay elements, but I've never been one for all kinds of shooters. I'd rather get good at one or two of them until the next big ones come out. GoW and R6V satisfy just about every shooter urge I have, as is the case with many people.

I think Ghost Recon has a fairly large following but the new one is coming out soon so you might want to wait on that.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

Yeah, I'd have to agree with this. COD3 is good enough to be grouped up there with RB6:Vegas and GOW IMHO

But then the first week of March ushers in GRAW 2 which looks to be like an awesome game. We played the heck out of the first GRAW and that was a pretty amazing game. It only got shelved when these other newer games hit the shelves.

COD3 is just hectic. Most of the time there is no stradegy and people run around like maniacs. If you play with people you know it is alot better. Even when it hectic it can be some fun. YOu will like the fact that you can drive vehichles and the maps are big. IT is hard to get used to though. Atleast it was for me.

I would rent it first. COD2 was in my opinion better but some will disagree. THE single player and the mp. You can get it for cheap too. R6 will keep you busy for a while though. I love that game.

graw is mad cheap on ebay. I know the 2nd one is coming out soon, but no need to totally skip out on the 1st. I just wouldn't pay full retail price for it.

Hardly anyone plays Perfect Dark 0 anymore, but when I first got my 360, I had a lot of fun with that game online. I was a gangster with the sticks!

Wait for GRAW2! The first one has easily spent the most time in my 360 over the last year, and the multiplayer is just awesome. As Hoosier said, we had a dedicated group of 15 or so people who played this game religiously until the fall, when 'Gears' and COD3 came out.

No one plays FEAR online...a darkhorse pick and still one of my fave's is Battlefield 2....its quick and easy to get online and in a match unlike GRAW alot of times, and it still has a good fanbase online. Arcadish action, not like GRAW...but fun nonetheless!

                    I would recommend COD2 over COD3 also.

Don't pick up GRAW because you pretty much need to download the maps from it which cost 800 microsoft points. (I bought them when they cost like $15m )

COD3 is very good and the map pack is worth it.

But GRAW 2 is just around the corner and looks even better than GRAW.

I would suggest giving GRAW a rent, not downloading the content and seeing if you like that. If you do, then GRAW 2, which is GRAW on HGH, would be a perfect fit.
