It depends on your type of FPS shooter
-Ghost recon is much slower moving IMO, and more tactical.
-14 players max on Xbox Live on Vegas
-16 players max on GRAW 2 on Live
-GRAW 2 features clan support
-I think a lot more long range shooting takes place on the GRAW games, where as there is a lot of close up battles on the Rainbow games.
-You can go prone in GRAW 2
-16 people co-op missions on GRAW 2!!!!
-Supposedly 18 maps will ship with GRAW 2, Vegas has 10 as of now
-There is a cover system on both games, but GRAW's is more of a lean and peek type of cover, where Vegas's is more like a full cover type of system.
-The maps on Vegas are big for a Rainbow game, but the maps on the GR games are usually pretty monstorous, and are more outside environments.
-I think there are 8 game types on Vegas, with a couple more to be released via DLC
-GRAW 2 has tons of customizable game types, with plenty of options for each.
I think both games are great FPS's. I play the hell out of both, and they are the best games out on the 360 online right now IMO. You can't really go wrong with either. -

Graw is more outdoors and it is harder to see. You have to go a lot slower, unless you like dying quickly.
Rainbow is more indoors and fast paced.
Both have elements of realism, but GRAW goes a bit farther in to realism. Graw is also a lot more customizable in regard to gametypes.
Rainbow has:
Survival and Team survival- 1 life and the last person alive wins.
Sharpshooter and Team Sharp- Most kills wins.
Attack and Defend(Team only) For this part I am going to list what the offensive team must do then/ the defensive team.
Depending on the A&D Map you will either have to:
1.) Disarm a bomb/ Protect the bomb from being disarmed.
2.) Rescue hostages/ Keep the hostages
3.) Grab a briefcase/ Protect a brief case.
Retrevial- Both teams fight for one canister which they take to their drop off point on the map for score. (Think Capture the flag type of game, but with 1 flag)
Co-op Mission: 1-3 other people join you to go through the campaign missions
Co-op Terrorist Hunt: 1-3 other people join you to hunt down a set number of terrorists on maps (between 20-50 terrorists total).
Rainbow is also adding 2( or is it more?) game types with downloadable content soon.

In GRAW:
You move alot slower in movement
You cannot customize your guy as much as you can in Rainbow. (In Graw you can only change what type of helmet/ face camo you wear. In Rainbow you decide what you wear)
It takes less shots to down you, so 1 bullet to the chest can put you down.
If you are knocked down you can be revived by any player on your team, barring the enemy doesn't give you a killing shot while you roll around on the ground. (Think of Gears of War how you can squirm around while slowly bleeding out. Exactly the same in GRAW 2)
You have more explosives at your disposal.
Snipers are more useful.
Cover, trees, and lighting make it much harder to see enemies.
No cover feature, instead you have a lean button.
Maps are usually wide, but they include smaller maps.
A majority of the maps are supposed to have at least 2 settings for them. Like a day setting and a night setting, so the number of maps is at least doubled. (I've heard it is around 30 maps total if you count each lighting setting as 1 different map)
Gametypes: Graw almost has to many.
The standard ones like Survival and Team Survival (re-named last Man standing in GRAW) and Sharpshooter and Team Sharpshooter.
Also has the new Take-down game type, which is like Sharpshooter but it has an officer whose kills are worth more, but whose death is awarded more points. The Officer changes randomly after their death. It is on the marketplace if you want to try it out.
Siege- one team must defend a small square on the map from the enemy. If the offensive team gets to the siege square and stays inside for a few seconds, the defending team loses. (Played best without respawn)
Blind Siege- takes the above format and then randomly assigns the siege spot and offensive spawn point from a few possible spawns. (Very fun because you must watch every direction)
Capture the Flag- The old FPS stand by comes to GRAW

VT, I would go for GRAW2. The aiming is better and it seems that even noobs can have success. I hopped into RB6 a few months after release (due to NO internet) and am getting destroyed on a nightly basis. At least in GRAW I was always able to get kills (GRAW and RB6 were my first entries in either series).
Another game mode that GRAW has is "Team Battle", where the five zones from the "Siege" variant are available and each team battles for control 'Battlefield 2' style.
EDIT: With the explosives it's entirely room dependent in GRAW. Since I'm know an able host, the only weapons I'll ban are the semi-automatic 'nade launchers, since you can pop off six grenades in seconds. Most rooms ban all explosives though, which I find to be the ***** option. They also ban the drones, something I like for the siege/CTF style games (not good for simple deathmatch crap).I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be. - Douglas Adams

I enjoy more outdoor shooting and the prone is a big thing. I love hiding and trying to blend in and popping someone. I think I will go with GRAW2. Thank you guys for all this info. I wasnt expecting so much and it was incredibly helpful. Hopefully i see yall in GRAW2 in the next few days!YNWAComment
