I'll be playing video games in the old folks home. Have a controller rigged to my wheel chair.

Is 2k7 good? Maybe...but not good enough to justify how much money I spent on the PS3 (nor is any other game!)

I bought my PS3 on a whim, told my buddy that if he didn't say it was a bad idea, I'd do it, throw it on the ol' credit card. So I did. $800 bucks for the system, 2 games and extra controller.

I have barely played the thing, mainly due to general disinterest in video games. I'm 25, I'd much rather put my money towards more useful gadgets, living life, etc.

So, the main thing I want out of this thread is, how much money do you think I should ask for it? I have the $600 model, and 3 games (NBA 2k7, Madden, and MLB 2k7). I was thinking asking $550 for it. That is quite a discount given the overall value of the package. Just wanted some opinions.
I felt the same way after dropping tons of money on the system, controller, and game. Then I realized I spend 99% of my life working and the hour or two every couple nights I spend relaxing playing games or watching movies on the PS3 is worth it to me.

you should've never put $800 on your credit card for a video game console. you'll probably pay more than $600 for that PS3 if you haven't paid it off yet...lol.

For some of us, video games are part of our lives. I know many of us have tried to give them up... or we thought we were losing interest but it was just cyclical. I'm 29... I swear there were times where I thought the video game interest was fading but it's not that... it's that I was changing which games I like, etc.

For many people in the later 20s/30s, etc, we grew up with video games as an outlet. Our fathers went fishing, worked on cars, etc, and probably still do to this day. Some say video games are childish but they take us out of the world we're in and put somewhere else for a while, just like what other activities do for others. We'll never put them down... they're built into many of us.

I don't know about the rest of the 30's year olds, but the ones I know are really into the sports video games. They like other games, but sports games are still there favorite.

Not sure why you made multiple threads telling us this, but it belongs in console talk, and you already posted one there too, locked.
