Re: Official GR:AW 2 Impressions Thread

It's up, I think we're seeing the new standard of 4 maps equals 800 points. Same with Gears of War, Rainbow was essentially 3 maps and a game mode for 800 points, and now GRAW 2 with 4 maps (I realize it says 7, like I said, 3 of them were in GRAW, so it's not like they had to do anything to them).

    GRAW2 Throwback Pack
    Name: GRAW2 Throwback Pack
    Price: 800 Points
    Availability: All Xbox Live regions
Dash Details: Play 7 of your favorite Ghost Recon maps re-mastered.

Vegas had 2 new game modes. And the 2 redone maps are a little different.

With this GRAW2 pack, I still feel like I'm getting 7 maps to play since I sold my GRAW.

I downloaded these and they do not show up. I have the same problem with the Red pack on RB6. I am starting to wonder if it is only a problem on the Elite system. This is really frustrating. Peace!!!! Anyone with any advice?

Wow...360 owners got the shaft! I might sell my 360 version and pick it up for the PS3.

Seriously, that's a lot of content. Yeah, it's coming months after the 360 version, but it's still a slap in the face to the 360 owners, especially those that just purchased the new maps. Of course, I wouldn't get to excited after seeing how the port of SC: Double Agent ended up being on the PS3.

It's a slap in the face, a kick in the gut, and a punch in the nuts. Some folks have put over $70 into the 360 version, and they're still left with less than what PS3 owners will get for $60. While it's possible some of this content will find its way into the 360 version, you know damn well you'll be paying for it. Even if Ubi wants to keep everyone happy, and offer it for free, there's no way Microsoft will let them.

                      Gotta love M$.

You are so off on this. First of all, Microsoft's rule on downloadable content is that if it's available for free on another platform, they can't charge you for it on the Marketplace. This is how EA's plan to charge for alternate jerseys in Madden was foiled, resulting in them eventually giving them away for free.

Second of all - Microsoft can't make Ubisoft charge for Marketplace content because they are not the publisher for GRAW 2. Major Nelson has said on his podcast numerous times that the Publisher is responsible for setting the price of Marketplace content.

I know, I know. "What about Epic wanting to give the Gears of War maps away?" Well, Epic isn't the publisher of Gears, Microsoft is, so by rule, it's up to them how much Gears of War content costs.

So there. If Ubi ever releases this stuff for the XBox 360 version of GRAW 2, it'll have to be free. Microsoft's own rules dictate that.

Are they going to give everyone who bought the flashback map a refund then? I guarantee you that all 7 maps are included in that 32.

Meh, maybe $80 bucks total for me to play GRAW on 360.

But 660+ for Ps3. I play other games on the 360, while the ps3 is sparse.

Besides, by the time these maps come out (if they come out) it will be close to halo 3 (just a guess on my part) or NCAA will be here.

That's some interesting news to me.

Regardless, 360 owners have still put more money into a game that features less than its PS3 counterpart.

Perhaps M$ should take some of that money from these microtransactions and focus on creating a reliable and sturdy console.

Exactly. So their rule dictates any future content that matches what's available in the PS3 version is free, they've still suckered a lot of us for $20 already.
