For the fiscal year ended October 31, 2006, Take-Two posted an incredible loss of $184.9 million. This is in direct contrast with 2005's net income of $35.3 million. Take-Two's revenue also saw a slight drop, from $1.2 billion in 2005 to $1.04 billion in 2006.

They are still posting an overall profit and have more assets than liabilities. I highly doubt EA is buying any part of TTWO.

Plus if EA tried, I bet the government would get involved.

Why? I wouldn't see the government getting involved with that. They'd probably think about letting them get under EA so that they could end up having more "high quality" games or something that weren't so controversial. Just a thought. I'd hate to have GTA in the hands of EA. I won't rule out the possibility of them improving in more aspects, but there might be a possibility of me not gaming too much longer. We'll see.......

how are they posting an overall profit? their financial statements show a huge loss from operations.

and their creditors would become involved long before they had a chance to have negative shareholders equity.

My bad. I forgot to scroll down. They have a Gross Profit, but not a Net Profit.

They do have $132 million in Cash and Cash Equivalents which is pretty high.
