Acclaim gets notice to lose Nasdaq spot

Video game publisher Acclaim Entertainment announced Friday that it has received a delisting notice from the Nasdaq Stock Market. The notice said Acclaim stock had fallen below the minimum $1-per-share price for more than 30 consecutive days. It gave the company until July 23 to bring its share price back up to the minimum for at least 10 consecutive days.
Acclaim produces a number of sports, racing and adventure games but has had only a few major hits in recent years. It made headlines last summer with a promotion that offered a $10,000 prize to parents who named their child after the hero of the company's latest "Turok the Dinosaur Hunter" game.

Well seems accliam has been pulling every trick in the book the last few weeks to get their games sold. Possibly they will need a big major selling with ASB to stay afloat. I remember a few years ago with their QBC game on n64 they went on the usenet posting as 'independent' gamers trashing their main competition of the time madden 64.
