Splinter Cell isn't so incredible good that everyone likes it, even if they don't like the genre in general.

You base this solely on the reasoning that if you don't like it then everyone else who is not a fan of that genre will not like it?
In any case if you want a game that makes you think and has more to it than busting through doors and blasting away, then SC is a great pick up.
Quote:

Umm. Yeah.
Of course some opinions will vary. But in no way does the game transcend the genre. Very few games do.

I'm not saying the game did transcend the genre.. I'm saying you cant say that as fact based on one person, yourself.
You may very well be correct but more study is needed...
In any case I think the game is a good pick-up.

Re: Splinter Cell
I think it's a great game for as long as it lasts, which unfortunately isn't that long. 9 missions and that's it. No bonus missions, no multiple endings, no secret unlockables, no nothin. Like I said, a great game, but it doesn't have very long legs.Comment

15 hours isn't that bad. Thats pretty much what MGS2 is, and getting the dog tags gets boring after awhileOriginally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment
