Right now FX is playing the GTA countdown from the website. It has been on for a while now just counting down. Anyone know how along this is going to be on?

I have no idea but this is some good news right here..btw the ad is dropping on GTA IV News: GTAIV TRAILER COMING MARCH 29!

"Rockstar North is creating a specialized game engine for PS3 that will bring GTA 4 to life to a degree that PS2 games could only hint at. Specifically, they're going to be using the high data transfer bandwidth of the Cell CPU, RSX GPU, and Blu-ray Disc to use several streams of game info simultaneously. The game's city - unfortunately yet to be even hinted at - will still be free roaming and seamless, but broken down into smaller, more deatailed areas at the engine level, into which the game designers are going to be able to pour more textures, more oject variety, and tons of details (such as discareded soda cans with their own physics), just for starters. At X06 in Barcelona Spain, Peter Moore, Microsoft's corporate vice president of the Interactive Entertainment Business, mentioned GTAIV will have two add on episodes available exclusively through Xbox Live. He goes on to say
"2 epic episodes releasing within months of the game shipping....now we are not talking about an extra character or car here, but hours of entirely new gameplay."

Rumor is that GTAIV will be set in NYC during the 70's. They have been showing the countdown commercial during That 70's Show on FX and they bought slot(s) to show the counter during the paid advertisement slots on FX. They're also putting up posters and stuff in New York City.

they should create the exact proportions of the city, exact time it takes to drive around from point to point, etc. Now that would be awesome!

Honestly, it looks like it could be a GTA type of flow. The movement and little things look so muc like older GTA games, but it is amazing on the real. If that is it, then I'm seriously blown out of the water by what they have accomplished. Not sure if that's it but man that joint looks sweet. I just hope that whatever they put into the game has more solid substance and realism. Keeping an eye out.......
