I couldn't develop a farm in 3000 to save my life. Just as well, since they made zoning around them a pain in the ***...

Do you still have to zone landfills and things like that in 4?

Ya you do. I've zoned a land fill, but it doesn't get used. I also have those waste to energy plants, so that might take away from that. Zones work pretty easily here. I didn't play 3000, so I can't relate. I did play the OG and 2000, so I kinda have a feeling for it. But it's been years.

            Again, going from 3000....

Waste to energy plants will cut down on your garbage, but they are big-time polluters. I think the amount the lanfill fills up depends on how many people you have. It may not show up in the landfill zone, but if you didn't have one, you'd start to see the garbage piling up.

Would anyone advise me to buy this game? Is it worth the $50?

Personally, I enjoy it. I just like watching everything grow and people move around and stuff like that. I think it's fun. If you've never played or don't know what it's about, you might want to wait a while. The price should drop within the year. Also, if you have the Sims game, it might be worth it. You can drop your sims into the city you make, and they can give you feedback on how everthing is going in there.
