This is called panic mode because Sony needs to show some nice sales figures for the Xmas season and they need to give people a reason to buy this thing before Halo 3 puts the PS3 in the also ran category. I'm telling you Sony will not keep this console afloat long if the sales figures don't show a dramatic increase in the next year and at least be on par with the 360 which is gonna be tough. The Wii blindsided everyone. It's too costly for them to be a distant 3rd for very long and patience is not a virtue in the gaming industry.
