Noob question..

So, lately I've been having problems with my GoW disc. I've been getting the white screen about the disc being unreadable in many different languages. Is the game done for?

If so, what's the best way to return this game without a receipt? Wal-mart? I work at Sam's and last I knew we accepted returns without a receipt and they just refunded the money onto a gift card, which would be ideal cause I want to get GRAW or possibly NBA2k7.

Sorry, I'm sure this has been a rehashed subject and I'm just too lazy to go look.

I don't know of any stores that would take back an open used game without a receipt. Even with a receipt they would only replace an open game with the same game.

You could just sell or trade in Gears.

As far as the 360 not reading the game disc, I had that same problem with my first 360 with several different games and I had to get my console replaced.

Anyone have any idea how much Gears trades in for? Or sells for at a place like Gamestop or EB?

Probably between $20-$25 dollars. You'll need to call your local EB to find out.

So, will they take it if it's not reading.

I'll just assume it's MY 360 that isn't reading the disc and maybe theirs will?

If you return it to walmart, you'll get the same game new, but they unwrap it. Very dissapointing.

I'm a 360 noob and maybe my console is having trouble reading the problem while theirs may not? Something like that?
