I would get Pack 3 because I think Infected and Stellar are fun to play. Bark at the Moon is the only one in Pack 1 that would be worth it to me just because it is such a challenge, but I wouldn't want anything from Pack 2.Last edited by aukevin; 04-11-2007, 09:03 AM.

We are entering a very pricey/sucky period that we probably won't ever go back from.
New maps, characters, songs, etc. on games that USED to be available for free...are now just a credit card swipe away!

I'm just not gonna buy 'em. Not out of 'protest' but out of that I just can't justisy the price for so little. It does send a bad message. Now the article in GI has me worried about MS forcing devs to not post free content because they want more and more of these micro transactions.PSN: JISTIC_OS

If the majority of gamers can get the willpower to NOT buy the expansions....then we'll see more free content.
It won't happen overnight..but the power of the consumer controls all in that case.
I say that..and yet I just bought both the Shivering Isles expansion for Oblivion and the new multiplayer map pack for COD3.AUBURN TIGERS

This is just insane if you ask me with this pricing structure. I would love to have all of the packs, but what at $6.25 a pop they are really being greedy. I am glad that I did get the free 1600 MS points from Circuit City which buying these 3 packs is no issue. Moving forward spending $6 on a pack is just too much.
Pack 3 is the best imo.
Pack 1: "Bark at the Moon," "Hey You," "Ace of Spades"
Pack 2: "Killer Queen," "Take it Off," "Frankenstein"
Pack 3: "Higher Ground," "Infected," "Stellar"Comment

Did none of you play "Killer Queen" or "Take it Off" on GH1? Those songs were DAMN fun to play!
The pricing sucks, but don't we also have to blame the music industry, since they also have their hand in this pie? License fees have killed animated shows/movies on DVD releases since they can no longer use the songs from their original airdates.
While six bucks a pack blows, at least the developers kept all the unlockable songs in the retail version as opposed to removing content (cough...EA) as well as ADDING an additional chunk of songs to the 360. I'm not buying them.
The value of a pack like that isn't worth the price to me. "Value" varies from person to person, but there's no way I'm dishing out the cash.
Those of you unhappy with the price but still buying it are sending a clear message to the developers - "Contnue charging high prices; we'll still buy it!"
The world of DLC is new for console developers, too. Every time they release something like this, the price point is basically a test. "Let's see what people are willing to pay." If it sells well, the message is clearly that they can charge that much and maybe even a little more next time. If it completely flopped at the price they released it, it wouldn't take long for them to "adjust" the price.Comment
