FYI: Only the Collector's Edition of Spider-Man 3: The Video Game on the Playstation 3 Computer Entertainment System allows you to play as "New Goblin." The Green Goblin was Norman Osborne and he was killed in the first Spider-Man movie. He will not be a playable character in the video game. That is all.

Most 360 games are better right now mostly due to the PS3 recent release. I don't think that will be the case a year from now. The PS3 version of SM3 is going to offer more than the 360. WIth the PS3 version, you get to play the game as "New Goblin" which is Harry Osborne's version of the Green Goblin. If you buy it for the 360, you miss out. I can't wait to play it.

it will be the case a year from now, especially with games made for movies. No way a publisher is going to take a cash in title like this and make it fully utilize the ps3. A lot of 3rd party multi-platform games will be virtually identical...just like with the xbox and ps2.

I was about to ask why they made the collector's edition only for the PS3, but then the little Sony bird told me. That is so homosexual. Anyhow, are you guys buying that game to keep?

I disagree, not completely but for the most part anyways. The systems are both too similar in what they can do that most companies are going to make their games for one and port it to the other, then throw in something like this green goblin bonus only on the PS3 system or some special character on the Xbox 360 version. Companies are too lazy for the most part to try to maximize each system's special technical capabilities when they can just port the game over, clean it up and people will buy it.

I have this opinion having been around video games for so long it seems little to matter which system is technically better overall as this is just how companies operate. With that being said there will always be a few companies that specifically prefer one system and really make a killer game for that system more than the other, but that is always the exception, not the rule.
