You could theoretically create a barren landscape devoid of life by killing everything you see. There would be no living things, but at night a lot of ghosts would show up at the locations of your slaughterings.

You're going to try to get me to put a numeric value on this?

Just kidding. Everybody will have different mileage, but for me on the current patch it's insane. I went from struggling to owning everything to suddenly struggling again because I didn't find a trainer to learn knockdown defense from and every orc archer or warrior is knocking me on my *** every fight. You can just tell by looking at a mob how difficult it will be whether the name is green, yellow, or red, but I've taken down red mobs by simply attacking and using Q as the "quick dash back" dodge over and over. Melee combat gets pretty repetitive, but it's more timing based than you'd think...if you mash the mouse button you'll get caught in animations, but timely use of it to coincide with your swings turns you into a non stop whirling dervish of death.

As far as scores, let's say for me personally it's neither of those...
Fair enough (I am sensing that you would go higher). I am going to be getting this for the 360, I had read on the 2worlds website (inside two worlds) that they have patch 1.5 out now, and that a lot has been added to the game. Will the 360 version contain a merging of all of the patches into one concise, complete game? I am looking forward to playing this one.

Oh, did they fix the issue where you could kill, or a bear or whatever could kill a NPC that was needed for the main quest?

      Re: Two Worlds

I would definitely go higher for me personally, because a good RPG should just get you involved in what's going on. Weird control quirks aside (which are easily adapted to within an hour or so), it really gets me "into" the world more than any one I've played lately. The fact that you have to hunt down trainers to learn a skill before you can do anything with it...little things help really build a character.

I have no idea about the mobs that kill a quest NPC, haven't seen that yet. I don't really surf the boards or sites about the game, so I have no clue what the general population considers to be the problems. Usually that ruins games for me, because I'll find out about things I'd never see on my own...

I hear you in regards to finding out things on your own, I am the same way. Yeah, I really like games that drag you into the story, the 3 that come to mind for me are Skies of Arcadia(dreamcast), Final Fantasy 4 (the one with the espers. I don't know why Square does not remake this game on next/current gen, it would be amazing) and Ultima 3 Exodus(I think that is the one). Anyway, it is looking like Two Worlds will fill the bill in regards to that "drag you in" feel.

I'm very interested in picking this game up for my wife. She's an RPG nut, and dropped 100 gameplay hours on Oblivion in no time.

From looking at the videos though the graphics seem very choppy. I'm not sure if that's how it will really be in game or not.

I will looking forward to reading some 360 reviews. She's dying to have a good game to play again.

Yes, I got the Euro version.

With regards to choppy graphics, it's smooth as can be on my system with everything cranked. As far as 360 goes, no idea because my PC is a Core 2 Duo E6600, 2GB of RAM and a 768MB GeForce 8800GTX...it pretty much chews up a 360 and laughs at it.

The animations are a bit wonky (as noted previously) but they're pretty easy to adapt to and it really has a different feel with however you play your toon. An archer firing from horseback is completely different than my 2-handed sword-wielding warrior, which is different than the sneaky lock-picking thief, etc.

Forgot to mention, I'm also caught in the middle of a quest web that is getting so complicated I can't remember which side I'm fighting for.

                *********POSSIBLE SPOILERS***********

House Skelden wants me to kill the leader of the Rebels.
The Rebels want me to kill Ebrat Skelden.
To get to Ebrat I have to run quests for Sano Moon.
One of the quests Moon gives me has me reacquiring some supplies that the Rebels took.
I go to the Rebel camp, and they let me in freely and allow me to take whatever I want in order to get on Moon's good side.
I return the artifact to Sano Moon and can confront Ebrat Skelden.

The Rebels say that House Skelden is disloyal to the King, the King thinks that it's true but needs proof, and House Skelden says that the Rebels sabotage everything and are planting evidence to bring about anarchy and chaos.

Which is telling the truth? Absolutely no idea.

Was your system pre-built or did you put this together yourself?

I'm looking at a rig that's nearly identical for around a Grand.

I'm not sure if I want a Duo or Quad Core...

I'm really interested in Two Worlds. The idea of stacking like items to make them stronger is awesome.

I haven't done the do-it-myself approach in years. I used to do it all the time to save the scratch, but all the DOA motherboards and time it took to get it running wore on me eventually. Now I pay somebody else to deal with those headaches, I just want a system that I'll boot up and go to town on.

Amen brother. I just rebuilt a dead system. After all the RMA's it took 5 months to have it finally running smoothly. What a waste.

And I can STILL only get one stick of the RAM to work. I don't even care anymore, I'm sick of messing with it. At my age from now on I'm just gonna buy the whole system. This was my last.

Indeed. I had problems returning a CPU once because they didn't believe that I hadn't run it yet..."they test all CPUs" but couldn't find a certified sheet of who tested it, etc. Eventually I got a replacement, but after building my first 6 or 7 PC's, I've purchased my last 4 complete. Just not worth the headache for me personally...I'll gladly pay another $500 to just take it home, plug it in, and turn it on. If something breaks, I call them and tell them exactly what the problem is (since I usually know already) and cut down on some of their troubleshooting time. I couldn't be happier

What Brand Desktops have you been buying T?

There's a lot of decent systems out there that really just need a Video Card slapped in them and they'd work quite nicely.
