I have to buy anything besides the gold membership itself, and I hate paying for something that may eventually be free, but the new maps look awesome and will help add some variety. I am tempted.

The Garden looks Beautiful. Very detailed, i love the fact that u have to turn off the panels to get the good weapons like the long shot,torque bow and so on.
The swamp is HUGE and has to be one of the best stages in the whole game PERIOD. If u stay in the dark to long the kryls come out. They'll kill u right away unless u start rolling out of there. Perfect place for the stealth gamers, snipers will enjoy this place because its so dark and dreary u might just walk by your enemy.
Me and my friends call it the Blue room LOL. You'll see what I'm talking about. This place is Huge also, the Good weapons are found on both sides of the map. To be honest I'm not a huge fan of this map. Thats just "my" opinion, as my other friends adore this map.
Last but not least, The Train station. This map is just as cool as the swamp. In the tunnel you can run n gun inside a train cart, there's a perfect sniper spot u can't miss it. Beware of the enemy under you they can toss a Frag up there. Outside is what makes it spectacular, it looks like a hurricane is hitting the place as you fight. With all the rain and wind you might lose vision of far away enemies. So u better keep a tab on your opponent or you might be in the spectator room LOL.Comment

The new maps are sweet! I'm not that big of a fan of Bullet Marsh though, simply because I don't think I've found all the paths (it's either water or the platform above, or so it seems).I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be. - Douglas Adams

OK, so I decided to pony up and buy the maps. I only had a chance to play two maps so far. I played a game on Bullet Marsh and Garden.
Bullet Marsh I like because how dark it is. Plus there's a lot of stuff going around, lightning, rain, etc. so spotting an enemy isn't as easy as it would be on Gridlock.
Garden, I liked it. I will have to play more games on it though. I liked how the rooms that have the pesticide really, really hurt you if you walk in it. It's not like you just run through it, grab a rifle and suffer minor damage. You stand in there for a couple seconds and you die.Lux y VeritasComment

Yep...then I tried for 10 minutes to get into a game, only to get that "Incompatible because the host is using downloadable content you don't have" message. I told you I was going to TRY to not get them - but not having them was impeding my ability to play the freakin' game. Damn M$...

Would love to play some multiplayer with some of you guys, but have no friends. New to the xbox 360 and don't really like the majority of people that you meet randomly, so if anyone in OS has room on their friends list and wouldn't mind playing with a new player on Gears, send me an invite.
