A game someone should think about making

With all of the WWI games and shooters that have come out through the years, how we've come to the point of having a cover system spectacular explosions even chainsawing the enemy to death...


Why can't someone come out with a GI Joe game. That would be an absolute classic. We've seen games like Marvel, Spiderman, heck even a scooby do game in the past.

Where is Flynt, Cobra Commander, the 2 ninja's Snake eyes and storm shadow whatever his name is, Barbeque and roadblock, leatherneck the marine, Sgt Slaughter, and Duke, Serpentor with his flying drone, the crimson guards and the twins, the baroness and scarlet, lady J the blond who's name escapes me, bazooka and destro and the guy who camo's himself into anything he wants, people, trees, the wall..

The Air Striker jets and cobra's black jets, the one's that have smaller jets attached to them. Land sea and air, the possibilities are endless.



The variety of moves and weapons, vehicles and characters could make it a hit. How many of you guys grew up on this cartoon hoping someone catches the idea of making it a game, and what would you like to see different than what we've had in the past?

Great thread! I'd love to see this as long as it's true to the 80's version of the cartoons and doesn't go the new generation route. The sound effects from the cartoon would be an absolute must...the music...everything...basically allowing you to jump right into episode of the cartoon. However, where the devs would have a tough time IMO is voice acting. If they can somehow gather most of the original cast then that'd be sweet but the guy who voiced Cobra Commander (Starscream from TF as well) died. I supposed they could snatch some of his dialogue from the cartoons though...who knows? Either way, count me in.

all i was hoping for is a naruto 360 game....it is comming out, but i would love a online like rpg game of jason or sumthin.....like jason objective would be to eliminate all players before sun rise and the civilians have to survive until sunrise......civilians could like shoot jason to get away but NEVER KILL HIM....SWEET Dont u think it would be a sweet game.........GI JOE GAME sounds sweet to

Who owns the rights to G.I. Joe now? It is puzzling this game hasn't been made yet, even if we go back to the PS1 era of gaming. Correct me if I'm wrong, but there hasn't been a G.I. Joe game since the NES has there?

A GI Joe game would be lame because tons of shooting would be going on, and nobody would ever hit anything.

I brought this up awhile ago. THQ needs to make a GI JOE game using The Outfit engine. It could be incredible.

I think Sony owns the GI Joe rights now, but I could be wrong. At least they own the rights to the cartoons that were coming out on DVD, which is why there is no Season 2 Part 2 DVD set.

And yes, I would love a GI Joe game as well. I read a rumor about a live-action GI Joe movie, but I can't find that article anywhere. It said it would be set BEFORE Cobra Commander. Which didn't make much sense to me. You can't have GI Joe without Cobra Commander (at least that's my opinion).
