    New Batman Game...

    Maybe...

Rumor: Pandemic to Develop New Batman Game
Insiders allege that the studio is hard at work on the videogame sequel to Batman Begins.
    by Matt Casamassina

<script>showUSloc=(checkLocale('uk')||checkLocale( 'au'));document.writeln(showUSloc ? 'US, ' : '');</script> May 17, 2007 - Sources close to the project allege that the videogame sequel to Batman Begins, known as The Dark Knight, is under development by Pandemic Studios. Private equity firm Elevation Partners, which forged an alliance between Pandemic and BioWare in 2005, has gained the rights to the project, say insiders, but Batman Begins backer Electronic Arts will likely still publish the forthcoming action effort.
Pandemic Studios has over the years created an impressive library of hits, including Full Spectrum Warrior, Star Wars: Battlefront, Mercenaries and Destroy All Humans! Pandemic has purportedly been designing a secret title known as "Project B" for some time, although IGN was unable to confirm if this is, in fact, its Batman game.
EA's Batman Begins, an action-stealth game that played like Splinter Cell for kids, released in 2005 to mediocre reviews. The title sold a combined 400,000 units or so on GameCube, PlayStation 2 and Xbox in its first six months.
We were unable to reach Pandemic Studios for further details. A representative for Electronic Arts had no comment. Calls placed to equity firm Elevated Partners were not returned in time for publish.
Readers should consider this a rumor until we can officially confirm or debunk it. We'll stay on the story and update when further information becomes available.

Not promising. Ive always wanet to see a GTA type Batman game where u could drive the Batmobile all over gotham and jump the rooftops. Hopefully EA will push for the kind of game sine thats what Superman Returns was, but hopefully these guys can do it better.

I'm not sure they mean a sequel in terms of gameplay or that its just a sequel in terms of storyline. I hope Pandemic uses Destroy All Humans and Mercenaries as their basis for Batman.

I hope it's better than that crappy Batman Begins game.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

Batman Begins wasn't that bad of a game. It had potential to be very good, but it was too linear. It would have been fun to have situations with several choices to make, rather than having EA take you by the hand and tell you what to do.

Between this one and the Batman Lego game, one of them has to be playable right? I mean, Batman Vengeance is the only recent Batman game that I can remember even worth keeping after it was beat.

I hated how every single thing you did was context sensitive and how like you said, EA took you by the hand the whole time.
