I will be picking it up tomorrow. If anyone wants to join me online my gamertag is rasputin6948. This game has gotten almost overwhelming positive feedback from both gamefaqs and the official forums. I am looking forward to this one.

I picked up the game yesterday and it is really good. There is a steep learning curve but it's not overwhelming. The game is really balanced as well which must have been hard with all of the magic abilities and tech available. Anyone that is a fan of on-line shooters should pick this game up. It's even fun playing against the A.I. bots.

So is it a good team based game? Is it sorta like counterstrike but with magic? I am getting it today and I am curious how it controls.

I think it plays exactly like CS with magic.

It is kind of like Counterstrike with magic. It's one of those games that's not hard to learn but hard to master. I would suggest completeing the training missions before going on-line. Teamwork is key with this game. It's a lot of fun because there is so much going on at any point in the round and no game plays the same because people are constantly switching out powers and abilities. I highly recommend it.

Man lemme tell you...THIS IS SLEEPER HIT OF THE YEAR! The gameplay/balance for this is unreal. It is quite different than anything you have played but the strategy with teams really is on par with Rainbow Six im not kidding. It also runs silky smooth and the true skill match up is similar to finding games on halo 2. Highly recommend this one and anyone if you want look me up i will be playing...rasputin6948.

Just picked it up, but cant play until wife and boys go to sleep...I heard that there is a learning curve to get past so I will need a little more time to sit down and get accustomed to it...looking fwd to it though!

Some people only play online, its not half a product. Do you consider Elder Scrolls then half a product becuase of no online multi-player? Sure it has a deep single player but this has a deep mp (from what I have read). Half a product it is not.

I kinda feel what he's saying though. Obviously if you aren't an online gamer, Shadowrun is not for you...but what if you get tired of playing online?

I think I'll buy it if the price comes down, or if it's just that good.

Yeah, I guess, however I still say if the multiplayer is deep it makes single player obsolete. There have been games that I never touched the single player just becuase multi player was that good.
