Re: looking for action replay
Well, then maybe I'll give this a try then. I really haven't played 2k5 since I bought Madden 06 (which I actually enjoyed), then NCAA 07 (hated it, but got my money's worth playing my roommate).
I am still on Xbox, and I highly doubt Madden and NCAA will be worth the $40 for me to get my football fix this year.
I do have a question for you puja about your rosters (I've read a fair amount of your huge thread late last night, so sorry if it is a bad qustion). Do you have updated pictures, like of all the players who weren't in the league when 2k5 was released? Could anyone tell by your rosters that they weren't done by a video gaming company, but by some individual (i.e. are they that good?).Comment

Re: looking for action replay
unlike MVP '05 you cant update the player pictures for 2K5 even with a modded xbox. however, some people do use incorrect, old pictures in their roster updates (eg put Brock Huard's pic on Phil Rivers). personally i hate this method, so my new players all have blank photos.
beyond the issue of pictures, are they that good? lol i dont know. i think they are pretty good, but of course it's a matter of preference.Comment

Re: looking for action replay
And I believe I read that your rosters don't include changes to the way the game plays (like daflyboys tweaking). I assume he would have his own set of rosters (perhaps yours) and then make his changes and allow us to download them? I haven't played the game in some time, so I don't remember any flaws it had, but could I download rosters that included these changes so the game played better?
If I do get the AR, I am opening myself up to limitless options right? Like getting All-time teams, different years, etc. It seems to really help replayability. I wish I would have caught onto this a few years ago instead of paying $50 for Madden and NCAA.Comment

Re: looking for action replay
Check Circuit City for a action replay.
I remember a while ago they were having a clearance sale on all of their AR's.
You might get lucky if your store still have one or two.Comment

Re: looking for action replay
Kinda off topic, but can you still buy new Microsoft S Xbox controllers. It seems that both of my S controllers are dying. If I slightly move it during play, I get the reconnect pop up. Extremely annoying.Comment

Re: looking for action replay
I think they were half price, which should be around $15.
About using the AR once. You can download many rosters. You might not like someones and you might decide to check out another or another.
Plus the big factor is using it with Finns' Editor and make any changes to a roster that you want to or even creating your own if your in the mood. So you will more than likely use it more than once.
It's worth the price.
Not sure about the S controllers.Comment

Re: looking for action replay
plus people will update the rosters almost every week w/ updates to transactions, equipment, & ratings... & some release franchises regularly w/ the actual season results simmed.
basically, AR is very useful w/ high replay valueComment

Re: looking for action replay
So this editor, I use it on the PC, then save a roster, then transfer to the XBox via AR? This also would allow me to make changes like daflyboy made in his thread affecting how high attributes can go?Comment
