Blue Dragon demo?

I played it earlier today, but didn't have the time to get familiar with it. Looks fun. Hopefully, when the kids are in bed, I'll be able to get more indepth with it.

Downloaded it, yet to play it. Normally it's not my type of game, but I'm interested in it.

The demo isn't that great, but it may not be indicative of the final game. The main problem I have is the game balance which may have been heavily tampered with for the purpose of the demo. You have too many powerful skills/spells that wipe out the enemies in one hit or heal the party to full health.

I also have the following gripes:

- needs a Japanese language track only because the VA is bad
- remove that voice saying playable, defeated, etc
- framerate issues

The best thing about the game appears to be how it handles (removes) random encounters. Everything else about the game is decent.

Tried it ever so briefly (i.e. the first cut scene), and, uh...it looks REAL good!

I'm a big fan of RPG's, turn based or real time, and the pedigree for this game is amazing. I'll buy it day one, and "hopefully" it won't sit for months before I tackle it head on (like DQVIII and FFXII did).

it grew on me... the graphics between the cut scenes/battle sequences/ regular gameplay = identical.... i'm definately getting this



the music reminds me of Final Fantasy VII lol

I played it for a little bit and deleted it. Not because it's bad but it's the typical JRPG which i'm not into, not my cup of tea. I prefer Western RPG's like KOTOR.

The graphics are great but the game gets repetitive.
